Books and more Books !

Yesterday was really good. I went with my friends Jonna and Frank to a huge ware house where they had thousands of books, paperbacks and hardbacks,  all geners and for all age groups. There were DVD's, reading glasses for £2 if you had forgotten yours and gift bags. You could sign up for £2 a year to become a member and get all the info. I bought 5 books as of my photo for £11.50. You can't go wrong then  when you like reading...:-)
After about an hour, I couldn't take in any more impressions. We went back to J/F's for lunch, wonderful as always, and the day was complete.

Towards the end of the indoor bowls season.

Today I have been umpiring Top Club at Harpenden, an indoors bowls club with a lovely atmosphere. They played against Ipswich and lost only by a few shots. Top Club is a national competition where the winner i.e Ipswich will procede to the National Finals in Torquay at the end of March. Last year our club at Watford came to the final, a great achievement for a club without any international players..:-)

Northern Light

I have just embedded, down on the right side of this blog, a video of the Northern Light. It took the photographer about a week to capture one of the largest displays of Aurora Borealis. It is captured close to the border between Norway and Russia, in the Kirkenes area.
